EU SOE in US

Hi,

Just got an interesting mail from a US Avaya guy and thought I check into it.

Can you use an EU A-law SOE in the US?
Can you change the settings to U-law or do you have to buy a US unit.

He also claimed that the VCMs would be different in the US and not work there and that you couldn't connect EU 6408s in the US system since they use different connectors there? Just never seen a box without RJ45 connectors.

Is it me or he that's drunk?

you can select ulaw or alaw so it should not matter
why should they use different vcm ?
i think it shoud work
the only difference is the pri card
