After installing a new FAS270, I'm getting the following messages periodically:

Cluster Notification from filera (FCP PARTNER PATH MISCONFIGURED) ERROR

(names of the filer nodes are filera and filerb).

Has anyone seen this error before? If so, what was the issue that caused the error? I haven't seen any failures, and searching online has only brought up a few unhelpful references to the message under VMWare related forums.

By the way - the filer is direct attached (Fiber) to an AIX pSeries server.

Thanks,

1. on a fas270c the cf mode must be set to dual_fabric ( fcp config )
2. try running lun config_check ( in advanced mode )
3. on the netapp now site, there's a cluster config check tool for windows/linux.
4. On your AIX box, do you have 1 or 2 FC connections to the fas? If you run a lspath -l for a hdisk, do you see multiple paths ?
