ETrust 7 & NT4 - Failed to set Realtime Settings 2

Hi,

I'm running ETrust 7 AV on an NT4 SP6a workstation but unless the user has local admin rights which I really do not want to give, the realtime monitor will not start and fails with the following messages:

Failed to set Realtime Settings
Access is Denied (5)

I've tried putting the user in the local Power Users group but this in makes no difference.

Any ideas?

I am having the same problem, although until now I wasn't even sure that it was e-Trust that was causing the problem!!! Did you get anything resolved?

Hi Steve,

I used regedt32 and gave the relevant user full access to the following key and everything below it in the registry.

HKLM\Software\ComputerAssociates
