Anyone try these on Nortel hardware? I know the USB to serial adpters won't work for some Nortel applications, but these days, I'm having trouble finding a laptop that has a true serial port on it.

One of my customers clued me in to a RJ-45- DB9 adapter, but I don't want to replace my old beat up laptop when I'm not sure it'll work for Norstar equipment.

Rik,
I've been using this one for awhile. I believe it is the best one out. No issues with switches, BCM's, Norstars,..... It's a bit pricy, but worth it. I've had cheap ones and there are some pieces of eq that don't play nice with the cheapies. Not this baby, though!

I have an HP USB to serial adapter, made for HP by FTDI. Works great with my FastRAD box, no complaints here. I can use it with my nice laptop.

I have used a USB adapter by triplite and it worked fine on my IBM. Only issue another tech discovered was programming and updating the firmware on 2xxx wireless ip phones so he just used the OTM server for that.
