I want to put a printer with an ethernet connection in a room with no ethernet connection. The building has a wireless switch with several desktop PCs connected (using either USB or PCI wireless adapters). My question is...can I put another wireless switch by the printer, and simply plug the printer into it, to allow access from any PC in the building? ...or maybe there is a device that you can connect to the printer that would be like the adapters in the computers themselves? Any help appreciated!! Thanks!

Yes, setting another wireless switch and plugging the printer into it will work. Probably the cheapest way to go as well.

If purchasing a new Printer they do come with wireless built in now
