Hi Guys,

Does anyone know where I can find out the Ethernet port layout on an S8720.

There are 7 ethernet ports and I am trying to find a document that labels each port.

Thanks in advance,

Cais

The ports are what they get assigned during the configuration.

Typically

eth0 = Control Network A
eth1 = Services Port
eth2 = Duplication Link
eth3 = Control Network B (duplicated control)
eth4 = Customer Network/Control Network C
eth5 and eth6 not used.

Jimbo,

That works if you're using hardware duplication.

If you're using software duplication, you need to shuffle and use ETH0 as the duplication link (needs to be gigabit).
