ethernet drivers& modems 1

I have a ex lease compaq en P733 and i cannot get the ethernet adapter installed or the pctel hsp56k micromodem recognised.

you only state that you have a Compaq with a P3 733mhz processor, what else is there to the system... MOBO? RAM? HD? OS?

have you tried to get the drivers from the HP website? what exactly do you mean by recognizing the Modem? HAL errors?

thanks for that .I had beter tell u what I have done so far
1/ OS is win2000 pro 30gb HD/192mb 133 sd ram/onboard sound &vidiocard.I have been to HP site & downloaded :sound,video,ethernet,chipset,rompaq,diognostics u name it i've downloaded it but still i get unable to find drivers even when I direct to the corect drivers .cheers 1Vet

This should be all you need. Did you run the setup on the drivers and install them?

You have to know which modem and network card you have installed. Physically look at them or run belarc and see if it will tell you.

There are three different nic cards listed for the en p733 desktop. Also there are several different versions of the en p733 computer. make sure you are using the correct driver for the correct computer.This is important to correct operation.
