as a new user if need to find out how you set command line options for a intel e100 driver to carry over between reboots.
I set speed/duplex options and now after reboot they have reset back to default

It depends if the driver is a module or built in.

If it is a module, then edit the /etc/modules.conf
add
make sure you have
alias eth0 e1000
or
alias eth0 eepro100

(was unsure of which card you were refering to)

then add
options eepro100 or e1000 Speed=X, Duplex=X

(either eepro100 or e1000)
