I am just about ready to go off to college and they told me at the admissions office that I will have free access to the internet via the schools ethernet network system. Therefore, I need to purchase an ethernet card to fit in my PCMCIA slot. There is one problem; I have no idea what to look for. I was wondering if anyone could help me in looking for a good, reliable ethernet card for my computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Linksys has a nice one but uses a dongle.. easy to lose or break. SMC has one with a intergrated jack but is somewhat ugly as the outside is a clear orange color..ugh.. works well though. Xircom has some of the best with the intergrated jack but you pay a bit more for them. EBay is a great source for cheap cards use or new in the box.
