Etherchannel between Cat5500 and Cat2924XL

Anybody done this successfully?&nbsp;&nbsp;I get a heck of a lot of errors on the 2924.&nbsp;&nbsp;The port LEDs are permanently flashing amber and green.&nbsp;&nbsp;It is as if the ports get disabled somehow, and then the errors start piling up.&nbsp;&nbsp;Then the ports get enabled again - somehow...<br><br>I get better performance from a 10MB hub connected to a 10MB link than from the 2924 connected via 100MB full duplex etherchannel, and all non-channel ports running at 100MB full duplex.<br><br>Cable length is not the problem.&nbsp;&nbsp;They normally run close to 95m, but I've had the 2924s connected directly to the 5500 with 1m cross-over cables - same thing.<br><br>IOS version on 2924: 11.2(8.2)SA6<br>Blade installed in 5500: WS-X5225R<br><br>Any ideas?&nbsp;&nbsp;Anybody had the same experience?<br><br>Tks<br>Connie

Connie,<br>It sounds like the problem you are having could be a result of trunking.&nbsp;&nbsp;Without more information it is hard to say.&nbsp;&nbsp;First you really are not running etherchannel unless you use more than one uplink connection.&nbsp;&nbsp;If you connect up 2 100Mb ports at full duplex using etherchannel you end up with 400Mb throughput supposively.&nbsp;&nbsp;Anyhow back to your problem.&nbsp;&nbsp;Ensure at least both sides are setup for 100Mb full duplex (not auto).&nbsp;&nbsp;If both are set to auto you will have problems.&nbsp;&nbsp;By the book you only need to do one side but it is recommended to do both.&nbsp;&nbsp;If you are running multiple VLAN's ensure one side is set for trunking on and the other side either on or desirable.
