esynergy item countries

esynergy 9.5.100
Progression SQL 7.6.400
We have set up our catalog in esynergy as a way to send out our catalogs, manuals, price lists etc. Sales\customer service enters an order and event manager creates an email or request for mailed literature based on the order. We just upgraded to synergy 9.5.100 and now it is not allowing us to send US items to customers\leads in other countries (we were able to override previously). Does anyone have a workaround for this? We have all the countries turned on and have accounts in most so making items for all the countries is not an option I want to entertain - any ideas?
Any way to use the world item?
