From the AIX side, how do I 'discover' a volume created on dell's esx san?

cfgmgr, or it is not zoned correctly on the san or assigned correctly on the storage.

Does that Dell, SAN support Aix, do you have to load Dell drivers.

I am missing something. There are two other devices (volumes) installed and visible on the AIX side. I have defined a new device (volume) in the EqualLogic control panel with the same characteristics as the other two. The only difference is that the two working devices show 1 iSCSI connection each, and the new one, understandibly, shows 0 connections.

I have never worked with EqualLogic :(

Never worked with EquaLogic neither, but it seems you need to map the new volume to the AIX host first. Mapping is the way you tell the SAN box which hosts can see which volumes.
