Hello,

Technologies: Business Objects Enterprise 4.0, Crystal Reports 2011 and Open Document (URL access)

We have a Dynamic Cascading Prompts defined in the Business view manager (it has its connection, data infrastructure, business element, etc, and, at last, the Dynamic lists of values).

The “Data Infrastructure” Receives static parameters which restrict the values that will appear later in the Dynamic lists of values.

We have included that Dynamic Cascading Prompts in a Crystal Report, saved the report into the CMS and we execute it from the launch pad: First ask for the static parameters, and then generates dynamic prompts and cascading values according to first parameters. Perfect.

The problem comes when trying to run the report calling a URL with Open document. Although values we are sending static parameters of the data infrastructure into the URL call, our report ignores these values and ask for then again on screen.

However, in other report with three static parameters, if we send the value of the first parameter, just ask for other two, and keep the first one hidden. In the dynamic parameters scenario does not happen.

The questions are:

How is referenced the static parameters of “Data infrastructure” to send their values? and do not be asked for then on the screen

In a Crystal report which is using a dynamic list based on a “Data infrastructure” with static parameters, how can we know the valueof these statics parameters into the report? How are they referenced?

Thanks in advance,

Best Regards

M. Lajara
