Create groupwise resources (in nwadmin32) with each metting room being the name. You have to decide who will own the resource.

The person who owns the resource can select the resource in groupwise through proxy. They can then give rights, read, write, to other users to the rooms.

The users can then select the rooms thru proxy in their own groupwise. Mark

We reserve our meeting rooms the way Mark has described. The resources have only given the calendar read rights to other users. This way, we can proxy the calendars to compare to ours in a multi-user view of our own calendar. We can also proxy the meeting rooms to see monthly views. No one can write to the calendar so that someone doesn't get erased from using the room. Only the person in charge of the resource can edit the calendars.

We have been doing it this way for 2.5 years in our organization and it works extremely well. Each resource (room, car, etc.) has it's own groupwise account. You reserve the resource by sending an appointment to that resource.

How large are your companies? I'm just curious as we are interested in using groupwise to do the same thing.
Thanks!

I have created the same setup as lexus and Mark in GroupWise 5.2. Except the rooms, vehicles, etc. are called GroupWise Objects (not Resources). We also make one individual the owner (with full control) while others can read-only proxy and send appointments to reserve the object - with the GroupWise owner (controller) of the Object having the power to Accept or Reject the appointment. The individual who is normally responsible for the room, vehicle, etc. gets to be the GroupWise owner. It's the only logical way to set it up.
