I have a site that I will ESS off of a main site. I have two sites P2P off of the ESS as remote EPN's. If the connection to the main server goes down and the site goes into ESS will the EPN's stay up? I believe they will but I'm looking or the warm and fuzzy. Anyone doing this?

You will need to add IPSIs in you remote PNs in order to be eligible for ESS take-over. Are these sites connected via DS1-C? Do you have a CSS at your main site? The reason I ask is that during an outage, an ESS server cannot takeover a CSS switch-node carrier...probably because the SNC can't accept an IPSI card.

The sites are connected via point to point T1 and DS1. So if I have IPSI's in the EPN the remote EPN will stay connected to the S8500 in ESS? I'm assume the TDM calls will drop on the remote EPN's when ESS takes over
