Hi all,

We are currently looking into setting up a VPN or seperate link for an ESS that we have running in a remote site. We currently have a MPLS connecting main to ESS, but this link is having major issues and we now want to seperate that out so that the ESS will not constantly have issues with connection.

The information that I am looking for or clarification with is what do I need to route out to/from main server or port network so that there will not be any connection issues. I have read that you need to have connection from ESS to main server, remote IPSI to main server, main CLAN to IPSI, etc...

If anyone can please let me know what I need to connect or where to look that would be great

Setup -
Dual S8710 servers
Duplicated IPSI network
9 PN's main site
2 PN's remote site

We are having this same issue. A dual ipsi PN connected via a single "pipe". When this was installed they connected both IPSIs in a single "signaling network".

I'm currently working with our BP to resolve this issue. I assume it will require some amount of switch programing, but also, we are connecting up additional physcal network hardware. I'm guessing if you didn't go that route (or even if you do) you'd still need to tell the routers to route IPSI A over WAN a, and IPSI b over wan B.

They are telling me in this new dual path config ISPI A is the primary and IPSI B is secondary. The system (pbx)autmatically fails over between the two, and will automatically go back to A when its stable.
