We're using an ESI IVX72eII system and have recently noticed a problem with our Caller ID capability.
- Call is received by receptionist.
- Receptionist sees the phone number and either "Unavailable" or the caller name.
- Call is sent to the appropriate station.
- While station is ringing, the only thing displayed is "Unavailable".
- When station handset is picked up, the caller name and number appear almost instantly.
Any idea why the Caller ID info shows up only after the call is answered?
I've poked around in ESI-Access and noticed a setting labeled "Caller ID Gain" with a value of 20000. Would changing this do anything useful or is it just useful if the information is garbled? What's an appropriate value for this setting or how do I calculate the proper setting?
