ESI phones won't come on - distance issue?

We've got an ESI IVX 72eII system with the 'standard' 48 button feature phones. Recently, we had the local dealer install an additional card for more digital stations. We also ran new cable (CAT5e) from the switch to the office that the card is for.

For some reason, none of the phones will come up. You can see that the LCD panel changes slightly when the phones are plugged in, but I never get the welcome message.

My first thought was that there might be a distance issue. The new phones are approximately 200 feet from the switch. Before the remodeling, there was a phone in that office which was about 160 feet from the switch and it worked fine. Could the additional distance be too much to handle? What's the maximum distance for the phones?

Additional information in case it helps:
Cards in the cabinet:
1 - D12
2 - 612
3 - 684
4 - E2-D12 (new card)

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

I've taken care of the problem. Something must have caused the card to malfunction at some point. After rebooting the system again, all of the phones came up.
