We had a hardrive crash on our Exchange 2k server. I was able to recover the drive but unfortunately the mailbox store is corrupt. (of course)

I ran an integrity check with Eseutil /g and it verifies that priv1.edb and priv.stm are corrupt. I don't have a backup of these files. Is there anything I can do or is it lost?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks!

When eseutil fails, the normal recovery route is to restore from backup. In that you have no backup, you could:

1. Try a soft repair. Eseutil/r
2. If that fails, try a hard repair, eseutil/p

In both cases, you'll want to run isinteg after running eseutil.

KB 326052 point to the Exchange 2000 Disaster Recovery Whitepaper. I suggest you download it and have it on hand before you start. The link is:

he forgot to mention to use the -fix switch with isinteg

so use eseutil /r or /p
then use isinteg -fix
