What's the need for defragmenting the database? Exchange will reuse the whitespace more efficiently than if it needs to grow the database.
My magic number is 30%. If there is >30% whitespace, and you're not ever likely to reuse it (say large change in number of mailboxes), then go ahead and defrag.
Unless there is a specific reason, don't run a repair.
