repair then defragment

or just

defragment?

i have a 2 large databases(total 330gb) and limited time (the weekend).

any suggestions?

What's the need for defragmenting the database? Exchange will reuse the whitespace more efficiently than if it needs to grow the database.

My magic number is 30%. If there is >30% whitespace, and you're not ever likely to reuse it (say large change in number of mailboxes), then go ahead and defrag.

Unless there is a specific reason, don't run a repair.
