Hi all,

I'm currently working on implementing virtual office on a release 7.5 switch. The customer wants the phone in the logged out state to have the ability to phone the local onsite security personnel and not connect to 911. Within the ESA programming I can assign a SPN/DSC number with no issues but not a local extension.
Does anyone know if its possible to set the ESDN to a local extension number?

Thanks

Check your stat to see if legal 1st - some stated require 911 service be called when 911 is dialed.

Instead of programming a ESDN, change to RLI. in the RLI you can make modifications to go to internal station. Think you may have to remove ESDN or even out ESA and rebuild to get the RLI prompt - enter past ESDN.

if you are using ERLs, (im not sure if a VO user keeps its original VO ERL or uses the set ERL, You'd have to test that) but if that is the case if your logged out sets and VO usrs have different ERLs, have the ERL assigned to logged out sets send to a new RLI that is set to Local terminate (lter = yes) and a new DMI table that deletes the digits and inserts the security ext. Careful this will have an inpact on 911 calls from sets that are not set in the correct ERL zones.

can anyone verify if VO users keep thier ERL or use the set ERL?
