ES Project Accounting

Has anyone out there ever used ES Project Accounting to recognize revenue and cost on a percentage of completion basis?

I thought that project accounting was removed from ES. Only supported features were as a replacement for Job# from progression, and cost tracking in GBKMUT.

Would also be interested in any info.

Recently had someone that was looking for Project Accounting, and ended up parking them in GP Dynamics.

Followup. The field is there for WIP method, and I choose percentage of completion hoping to find some functionality in ES that is sorely lacking in Progression.

Well, it is sorely lacking in ES as well. The field itself does not do anything.

I am very intereseted in this topic. I have an associated company that will be using 'project accounting'. As Macola is manufacturing focused, I had though this would be a winner.

I am scheduled to start testing Dec - Jan. But I can motivated to dive in now, if that makes sense.

Don, do you have more testing & investigation planned? Or is this a complete bust?

Complete bust at this time as far as I know. The certainly seem to have the database fields defined so they could develop a job costing system, but there is no logic behind it the database fields as of yet.

I have been requesting this for years. It really puts Exact at a competitive disadvantage in any type of construction environment, although they do have JobBoss.
