ES - item audit not recording all values

Macola ES 9.5.200 (soon to be 9.5.500)

Has anyone ever noticed that the audit trail for Items does not record the values contained in user_fld_6 or user_fld_7? Those records contain NULL values no matter what is actually stored in the field.

For some reason, I am remembering a possibility of being able to add the ability to store that info somewhere....can anyone refresh my memory?

I believe the Item Master only reads and writes data to user defined fields 1-5. I believe the fields you have referenced are for future use, or for flex.
Can you get User_Def_6 on the item master screen ?

You can get the two fields on the Item Master screen....I have them on the Extra tab right now.

I just find it curious that the fields exist in the table, you can put them on the item master screen, but the audit says NULL no matter what is put in the field.

I'm pretty sure this is a known issue. Do you have flexibility? This would be pretty easy to write in Flex if you have it.
