Good evening all....

Macola ES 9.5.700

I am currently working on a project where I would like to streamline the entry of a value to an order entry line item user defined field. This value would only be required on a subset of customers.

I know the "long" way is to have the end user click the Line User Fields button...but I'm trying to come up with a way to enforce the value as being required for certain customers.

Has anyone found a way to capture the line item save on OE0101? I would like to be able to save my value to a UDF, but the standard macform.Save occurs before the data is actually saved to the DB.

Thanks

Jen

In case anyone else is in the market for something similar....the way I ended up accomplishing this task is to utilize a public boolean form variable to hold whether the form can be saved or not. Then during the Save event of OE0101, I check the variable and respond accordingly. At the header level, I set the variable to true in the LoseFocus event of the order number field....and reset it to false on the GotFocus event on the QtyOrdered field for the individual lines themselves. Then on the User Defined Fields (OE0101U) form, in that Save event, I change the variable to True so the line itself can be saved.

It isn't the most elegant solution I've ever come up with...but it does serve the purpose I need.
