ERS 8310 Backup

Hi All

We have a couple of ERS8310s with various modules installed. I'm looking to backup the config as I haven't done it since I started here.

Couple of questions:

- I can save the boot and running config using the JDM but don't see an option to export it or upload it to tftp for example. Can this be done through the JDM?
- If I save the running or boot config is this saving the entire config uncluding the config of all the installed modules or does this need to be done for all the modules? The same question for exporting/ backing up the config.

Hi,

I simply telnet to our switches and do

copy config.cfg 10.52.1.1:config-switch1.cfg
copy config.cfg 10.52.1.1:config-switch2.cfg etc

and
copy boot.ini 10.52.1.1:boot-switch1.cfg
copy boot.ini 10.52.1.1:boot-switch2.cfg

this should cover the whole switch.
