Hi,
Would like to create a floating static default route on the ERS 5520, but there doesn't seem to be an option of changing the preference. The switch receives a OSPF default route, but would like to create a floating static route in case the link (where the OSPF default arrives from) goes down so traffic can go out an alternative interface.
The only way I've seen that is is possible to do this is to create a route-map, and somehow redistribute the static route, but this is something I don't want to do.
Cisco multi-layer switches allow you to change the preference of static routes - seems to be way easier, but unfortunately I'm not working with Cisco switches.
