I installed a Fantom external disk to my H50, running AIX 5.1.

I get an error on boot (enclosed errpt), but after that, I don't seem to get any errors and it read/writes fine....

Should I be concerned? Is there anything I should do to fix the error? Note: Before installing the drive, I did the media certify routine in diagnostics.

Thanks,
Dan

One error isn't entirely indicative of catastrophic failure but I would watch to see if multiple errors occur, at which point it should be replaced.

Since it shows error while booting only - I would have thought that the bad sector is related to the boot area.
