Errors with Tivoli Netview Mapdb

I have just run the housekeeping tools on Netview and have tried to restart the netview GUI remotely by exporting the display to my desktop; the way I always do it. But this time I get an "Error retrieving mapdb field info:Null field value" error.
Can anyone explain how or why this happened and how to fix it?

There is no recovery from the following error message:
"error retrieving mapdb field info: null field value" is received when trying to start the NetView GUI."
The NetView database must be re-discovered or restored from a good backup database.
 
The following conditions, if occurred, may cause database corruption:
o The system on which NetView is running loses power or the power off button is pressed.
o The system runs out of paging space.
o The system runs out of physical memory.
o The system runs out of file system space.
o The user brings down the NetView database daemons, ovwdb and/or ovtopmd, before the GUI is brought down.
o The user brings down the NetView database daemons, ovwdb and/or ovtopmd, before netmon is brought down.
o Copying a database from a NetView in one system to a NetView in another system, especially when they are not in the same subnet.
o Restoring a backup of the NetView database that was backed up while the NetView daemons were still running.
