Errors when backing up exchange 5.5

Hiya Guys,

I wondered if any of you have come across this problem before...

I am currently running backup exec 8.6 with the M$ exchange agent installed. Each night when the back up runs it will skip the DIR.edb file, which is an essential file when trying to recover a corrupt exchange server (a nice 36 hour shift soon taught me that one)

can anyone reccomend a way or does anyone know how i can make sure this file backs up through backup exec

Hi there, if it is any help, it skips on ours every night too, which leads me to think that it does get backed up else where.

The reason i say that, is that our PRIV.edb and PUB.edb both get skipped also, but they do get backed up as the information store.

I am assuming that you have the Microsoft Exchange Directory, and the information store backing as I am under the impression that you need both these whether you want to restore an individual mailbox or not.
