I knew I should have let well enough alone . . .
But, I tried to install the Novell 6.x Groupwise Client. We just upgraded to the new Groupwise 6. After the installation, trying to open the new client continued to give me "The version of Groupwise you are using can not connect to the post office" -
Each of my 5.5.5 clients can still connect - and all appears well w/no errors.
I figured I would go back to the 5.5.5 client as well. I uninstalled. I removed all GW* folders/files and registry settings. Used the latest Cleanup Agent from Novell - the system looked clean! I reinstalled the 5.5.5 client. No errors.
Opening the 5.5.5 client now gives me the following error twice in a row:
"wpmmtestinit could not be located in the dynamic link library gwenv1.dll"
After clicking OK twice, I'm allowed into the client.
TIDs I've read suggests PADLOCK fixes, and uninstall reinstalls to fix my issue. Since I didn't use the 5.5 EP the padlock fix doesn't apply. And uninstall reinstall (about 13 times now) really ain't fixing it either.
Suggestions/Feedback would be really appreciated.
