Hi:
Looking for idea on how to find this error trying to browse a raw table or modify it. . .will not let me open it. . .

Error 2005
Error loading file - record number 11. FrmHly <or one of its members>, Loading form or the data enviroment: Variable 'MTMLG25" is not found

This was field name that I changed in the base table.
I run the code reference utility and not called from anyway
I rebuild the whole project and it rebuilds just fine.
I can not browse or modify the table for it throws this error each time. . .

any ideas how I might find this and elminate is call?
Thank you in advance.
Mike

Use FmHly.scx
Goto 11
Browse Nowait

Something like that. Investigate the memo fields finding MTMLG25.

Bye, Olaf.

Thx Olaf, believe I have it.
I think the index header was funky.
What I did was change the field Name without deleteing the index first, and it did not like that.
Was able to work it out and now have it working.

I see.

Yes, as indexes can be any expressions the expressions are stored as index meta information in the cdx header, and if the expression contains a field name altering the field name does not automatically get changed in index expressions too. Would be nice, if that would automatically kind of cascade to everything else accessing that field.

As that's not done vfp starts interpreting the former field name as variable name and thus the irritating error.

Bye, Olaf.
