error with smtp under sendmail server

i get this error when i try and send mail from computers outside my house

The connection to the server has failed.
Account: ‘mail.mydomain.com’, server: ‘mail.mydomain.com’, protocol: SMTP, port: 25, secure(ssl):
No. socket error: 100051, error number: 0x800ccc0e

i am using sendmail as my email server and i also used web min to config i am behind a linksys firewall/router and all the ports are mapped right please help thanks alot for your time

Are you able to telnet to your server from your house try the IP and the name of the server (not over the internet)? If yes then your router isn't routing the port#. Connection has failed means it didn't find you computer.

The linksys router/switch only routes from the WAN (internet) to local. On the local side it is a switch.

If no: Try telnetting like this on the computer with Sendmail:

telnet localhost 25 or
telnet 127.0.0.1 25
