Error when using TFTP to upload bin file to PIX 520

When following the steps below to upload the .bin file I get a time out error despite being able to ping the server and being able to ping the interface on the PIX from the server.

Cisco PIX Firewall Version 6.1(1)

pixboothelper> file download.bin

pixboothelper> ping 10.1.1.19

tftp download.bin@10.1.1.19tftp failed: Timed out attempting to connect

If you are running 6.1 why are you using boothelper mode?
With 6.1 you can upgrade the PIX software using the "copy tftp flash" command. If you are not familiar with the process, the link below is an excellent guideline:
