Using openoffice.org 1.0 and SuSE 7.2, I'm getting the error message

I18N: XWindow system doesn't support locale "LC_TYPE=en_GB@euro;LC_NUMERIC=en_GB@euro....."

Anyone any ideas? I have 0.6.38 working perfectly.

TIA

Steve.

I use Openoffice 1.0.1 (and before it also 1.0) on Redhat 7.3 and 8.0, with locale en_ZA, and had a similar error, with the Openoffice logo displayed for some 15 seconds before it exits. I resolved this by adding
export locale=en_US
in the beginning of the soffice script, and now it works fine, since it belileves the locale is OK, without affecting the locale as perceived by anything else on the system.
I know adding locale support to Openoffice is the correct approach, but this is much quicker, and adequate for my short term need. You might find that en_UK is also supported, which should be close to your need.
