Error when starting Apache (problem in mod__ose.conf)

Hi,

I have a problem when I tried starting Apache. The following error message came up :
"The Procedure entry point OCIUserCallBackRegister could not be located in the dynamic link library OCI.dll"

In command prompt, the following error message came up :
"Syntax error at line 1 in mod_ose.conf. Could not load orajipa8i"

I found the same error (with the same error message) when I tried starting Net8 Assistant and Net8 Configuration Assistant.

How can I solve this problem ?

According to Metalink document 132454.1 this problem can happen after applying Oracle Forms Server Patch 3. The cause is that the patch installer incorrectly configures your system path by putting <forms server home>\bin at the beginning.

The fix is to manually edit your system path and put <forms server home>\bin as the third entry. The example they give is c:\Oracle\iSuites\BIN;c:\Oracle\806\vbroker\bin;c:\Oracle\806\bin;

That's followed, no doubt, by other path directories.

You will also have to reboot your server to get the modified system path to take effect.
