I am using CR9. When a report is viewed , the following error message appears:
An error occurred: Error in File C:\Peminic\CrystalReports\icpat\bc-cfs\Case Audit-Review Report by Record-FS No 2.rpt: Page header or footer longer than a page.
The report processes successfully in the report designer. Other reports can be viewed and scheduled successfully. Even same report can be viewed too. Just sometimes , depending on record selected in the parameter it generates error.

Why does this error message occur and how can it be resolved?

Dear dzabad,

More information about what is contained in the sections of the report is required.

I usually see this when there are many report header and/or footer sections ...

Can you give more info on the layout?

regards,

ro

Thanks for the reply. I have just one report header and footer but Detail sections from a tov :). I think what happend is Users copy/paste text from word document to the memo field and when report gets generated in pdf format via our application on line, it returns an erroe that I described. However, same erroe canot be dublicated in the Crystal report 9 developer Addition. Aperently it happends only in the Our web application when report gets printout on the screen in pdfor , any other format. This error not consistent with every record, so we pimpoint the problem with memo field. I cant find any other problems with the report.

Dear Dzavad,

You might check that the properties of the text box has Keep Object Together unchecked, this would allow the text object to break across pages, hopefully fixing this issue.

Regards,

ro
