I get the following error message when performing drill-through to a cube:
"The request failed because there is no valid cube mapping to handle the request"

I have made the following settings in the cube's properties dialog box in PPES:
Settings:
Drill-through
PowerPlay cubes - "Enabled"
PowerPlay Web target - "
Please let me know where am I going wrong or which step have I missed?

Thanks,

Is your target cube at the root of the PPES? That is to say, in Server Administration, is it listed with the sample cube and the Great Outdoors cubes and the Print Settings file?

..and you've not put any 'forbidden' characters in the cube name, like an ampersand?

Hi,
There are no special characters in the name of the mdc file, but the name of cube specified in PPES has spaces, hyphen (-) characters.
Will it pose a problem...?

Thanks,

That shouldn't be a problem, but it sounds like you might have given the cube a different name in PPES than its physical one. To quote cognos KB109177 and with no intent to breach copyright:

Do not enter a label name for the cube. By default, the cube will name itself.
This occurs because PPDS is used to provide information about drill targets. Both, Transformer and PPDS use physical file names. Enterprise Server uses object names. If the filename and the Enterprise Server object name are different, cube-to-cube drill through won't work because PPDS will try to use a physical name, while Enterprise Server is using an object name.
