I get the following error when exporting to Excel 4.0 format from Info Viewer (instance has already been run in Crystal reports format): PEExportTo: Missing or out-of-date export DLL. I have checked the Seagate Knowledgebase and all of the cases that I found are related to SCHEDULING a report. I CAN schedule to Excel format without a problem but I can't EXPORT from a report that was already run to Excel format or I get the above error.

I have checked our \WINNT\System32 and \WINNT\Crystal folders and the following dlls are there: u2fcr.dll and u2fxls.dll. But for both dlls, in the \Crystal folder is version 7 of the DLL, and in the \System32 folder is the version 8 of the DLL. Should these maybe be the same in both folders?

Any help would be appreciated...

Hi,

I had the exact same thing happen to me.
I had Info running on my NT server perfectly, users exporting with no problem, until I installed CR 8.0 as a seperate application (What was that about a Test Box??). At this time I experienced the same problem you have. All users who access Info can't export their reports to excel. I figure there's some kind of DLL conflict going on.

My recomendation would be "Keep Info On It's Own".

Don't install another version of Crystal on the same box.

As we are going to be upgrading Info soon, I have not tried to remedy this problem. I would suggest uninstalling any other version of CR that you may have installed.

Nuffsaid.
