I have a W2K8R2 domain and, starting yesterday, when editing any GPO on my Win7 PC I get the error:
These files do exist in \\domain.local\SYSVOL\domain.local\Policies\PolicyDefinitions\. I have seen some suggestions that the files should be in a subfolder \en-us\ so I've copied them all there too (as well as leave them in the \PolicyDefinitions\ folder but this has made no difference.
I don't see why this has all of a sudden become an issue. Nothing actually changed.
Any ideas how to resolve this?
It produces the error multiple times with the text change slightly specific to the file egAdministrative Templates. Encountered an error while parsing. An appropriate resource file could not be found for file \\domain.local\SysVo...\AppxPackageManager.admx (error = 2): The system cannot find the file specified.
This started yesterday. I went to copy some new .admx files into the folder and when it prompted me if I wanted to overwrite a file I cancelled it so nothing actually changed. But from then on I get this error. I also get the error when editing the GPOs from the W2K8R2 DC. I am able to edit the GPO and the change do work.Administrative Templates. Encountered an error while parsing. An appropriate resource file could not be found for file \\domain.local\SysVol\doma...\AppXRuntime.admx (error = 2): The system cannot find the file specified.
