When attempting to convert a MS Access XP Db to Access 2000, I receive one of the MS error messages where they ask if you'd like to send a report. The technical content of the report is huge, so I won't bother to reproduce it here.

Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem when attempting to convert a Db, and if so, how can I get around it?

Kev.

I've had some issues for the following reasons:

* trying to convert with uncompiled code
* trying to convert with some corruption in code
* troubles with references (sometimes giving ordinary errors, sometimes crashing)
* usage of methods new in xp (for instance crashing on .AddItem on combos/lists)

Suggestions (before converting):
- compile
- run a /decompile (Decompile or how to reduce Microsoft Access MDB/MDE size and decrease start-up times resolves corruption in a lot of cases, in spite of the marketing;-))
- here's also a Microsoft KB link on Corrupted VBA Project Error When You Try to Convert a Database

Don't know if this addresses your challenge, but, It might be worth a try...
