error when compiling pro*c

Hi,
While trying to compile i get this error msg as shown below.

License Error : The license file (/opt/SUNWspro/bin/../WS6/bin/../../license_d)
does not have information about the product Sun WorkShop Compiler C SPAC No such feature exists Feature:workshop.c.sparc FLEXlm error:-5,357.
cc: acomp failed for var.c
*** Error code 2

Please help and indicate any actions i need to do. Thanks.

Hi,

Did you install a trial version of Forte C ? Sun's C compiler isn't free, you need a license to use it, whereas it's provided with Solaris distrib. Maybe you can try GNU C (you can download it from *official* sunfreeware.com site), which works great.
