I'm having bother when trying to change the DN of a handset. It is currently 441 needing changed to 023.

I get the error "Error happened. Error detail: invalid parameter passed to method"

The list under "All DNs" starts at 221 and ends at 624.

Can anyone advise on how to do this properly? Does the list of DNs need extended?

System is Nortel BCM400 and accessed via BCM Element Manager.

operator is normally set to 0

i dont think you can use 02x for any extns.

Why do you need such an unusual extn number.

Thanks guys.

We have a large range of external numbers and usually assign users with an extension that corresponds with the last 3 digits of their external DDI.

Only good if you get a decent DID range from the carrier and ordered/reserved extras for down the road.

Reason is numbers are in use already
i.e. 0 is reception, 1XX is park, 7XX hunt groups 9 is line out etc therefore range is 2XX to 6XX for DN's
