sed: -e expression #44, char 59: unknown option to `s'

System:
Apache 1.3.33 source
Debian 3.1 with latest patches
2.4 kernel (will be moving to 2.6)
P4 HT with SMP support in kernel

I've tried both ./configure and ./configure [options]. Webhost tech support hasn't been any help (they installed via apt for us, stating apache source probably didn't have the patches for the system). However, we don't want apt Apache. Google wasn't of any help either.

I realize this, but as near as I can tell, it is a problem with Debian. I'll post there anyway.

I've made a configure/compile/install system for software, for a cpanel like web panel.. Well this issue is known, faulty configure, but i can only give you two advices.. that cause i cant try right now.
1) set conf_server{name,admin} in the script
2) run it with confadjust=1 env var

. Mac for productivity
.. Linux for developement
... Windows for solitaire

Somehow that doesnt make sense, somethings missing.. Try and see.
