Error when building ADO conection string

When I'm building an ADO connection string using an Advantage OLE I get to the point where I put in the username/password to access my database. I put in the correct password, but i get the following error....

Microsoft Data Link Error
---------------------------
Error 6420: The 'discovery' process for the Advantage Database Server failed. Unable to connect to the Advantage Database Server. axServerConnect AdsConnect


how do i fix that??????
