this is what i get when i'm trying to display my layout.. in my inetpub/ but i'm simply understand what i must edit on my layout cos i've been editting my layout couple of times using other names but when i want to test it..appears this error
HELP ME!! [shadessad]


Error Type:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80004005)
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver]General error Unable to open registry key 'Temporary (volatile) Jet DSN for process 0xe20 Thread 0xaf4 DBC 0x107c004 Jet'.

what is registry key anyways???? do i havwe to change the object connection name?? or sumthing?
 
basically it tells you that it can't find the database with that name in the location you specified.

Firstly, thanks to ChrisHirst for the vague answer -- i must say...

Make sure you have registered your DB as a DSN that way windows can find it.

Goto Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Data Sources(ODBC)-> and run through and register your DB as a system DSN.

If the error still occurs it may be an error in the opening db opening script in ASP.

and an incorrectly specified DSN means that the database will not be found using the name and location specified in the DSN.
