I have set up the ODBC connection to our Pervasive database on many PCs. I had one PC that got the error "The setup routines for the Pervasive ODBC Client Interface ODBC deiver could not be found. Please reinstall the driver." This error was displayed as soon as I clicked on the Pervasive driver to add a new system dsn. I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, but that didn't help. I am able to set up a new ODBC for other data sources, just not Pervasive. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What version of Pervasive are you using? What exactly did you install? Was this an upgrade of a previous version of Pervasive or was it a new install of Pervasive? WHat OS are you using?
Can you post the registry entries at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI (on a 64 bit OS) or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI (on 32 bit OS)?

When I went in to look at the registry, it said I didn't have permission, even though I am a domain admin. I went up to the ODBC folder, and I had permission there. I clicked the checkbox to push the permissions to the child folders. I was then able to install ODBC correctly with no errors.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
