Can anybody help?

How do I error trap when a connection is lost to SQL7 (say by the server going down).

I am using pass through queries

Thanks

You should get a timeout error if the server is down. Unfortunately, this also happens sometimes if there is a lot of network traffic and/or the query is returning or querying large amounts of data. Anyway, it is trappable, although I'm not sure of the error number and description. Durkin
