Error: Subreport could not be shown

I have a report with 2 sub reports. In the Business Intelligence designer the report runs fine showing the main report and the 2 sub reports, and exports to Excel fine also. BUT when the report is deployed to the report server - the 3rd sub report does not show - "Error: Subreport could not be shown". the 2nd sub report runs fine by its self, and like I said above - works fine in the designer.

I have swapped around the 2 sub reports. And which ever sub report is last - it does not show when the report is ran on the report server.

I have changed the datasources - so that the 2 sub reports do not shared the same data source. This did not work.

Even stranger.. the main report takes 2 parameters which feeds the sub report parameters. the report is designed to run for as a day version, week or month version. When ran for the Day or Week - it runs fine (even on the report server). When its ran for the month it errors on the 2nd sub report - again - the monthly version of the report works fine in the Business Intelligence designer.

Please help... I am running SQL server 2005 and SSRS 2005. SP2 is installed on the SQL server. However, I had to uninstall SSRS and re-install - so SQL Server SP2 might not be affecting the new install of SSRS.

This seemed to be a timeout issue. I changed the timeoutsettings in IIS and also changed the Report manager --> Site Settings --> Report Execution Timeout

...and selected
- Do not timeout report execution
