Error signature

XP Home reports the following error message, "BCCode:a BCPI 4E746146 BCP2:00000002 BCP3:00000001 BCP4:804ED882 OSVer:5_1_2600 SP:0_0 Product768_1".

What is this and where do I go to find out. Searching MS Windows data base I only find errors listed by numbers.

The error I get is similar...

My original system was

Advance 9 Motherboard with Via Chipset
PIII 800 Mhz
Hercules Prophet II GTS 32 MB
Sony Multiscan G400 Monitor 19"
Sundblaster Live! (with the bad eMu10k chip) I also tried the new Audigy board with no change (Hope this saves someone the expense)
2 Hard Drives 10 & 20 GB
Ricoh CD writer (SCSI)
CD Rom x52
Epson 870 Printer
USB ISDN

I had 2 problems the first being the Advance9 motherboard being incompatable with the Nvidia chipset on the Grafix card (VIA admit this and are working towards a solution) the second this boot up error and the invitation to send a postcard to Microsoft.

So now my system contains the following... (not boring you all I hope)

Gigabyte P4 Titan GA-8IDX Motherboard (intel chipset)
New case with ATX power supply
P4 1.5 Ghz Chip
ATI Radeon 7500 64MB Grafix card
Sony Multiscan G400 Monitor 19"
on board (creative) sound
Same HD's
Same CD Drives, printer, USB ISDN
Creative Webcam

I have spent more money than I have to try and cure the problem and still no joy. Have tried updating WinXP manually and 1 update at a time. Now I am getting stressed and thinking of going back to led and chalk!! If anything I hope this helps people not to waste money replacing hardware to end up with no improvement.

What is Product 256 anyway?

If anywould like more discussion on systems then please feel free, the more talk the better.

Oh and for interest my 3D Mark 2001 score is 3356 with no tweaks (yet)
