Error sending memo with attachment

When our users (R5) try to send a memo with an attachment the error "remote system not responding" occurs and the memo is not sent. A memo without an attachment does not have this problem.

We have restarted the server and let it create a new mail.box but this does not help.

Is this a known problem?
